Dr. Poly De La Garza is a native Houstonian who graduated from Klein Oak High School, earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Texas A&M University, and continued on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She was recognized as a member of Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society.
Dr. De La Garza had externships at the Eye Center of Texas where she co-managed LASIK procedures, cataract surgery, and helped provide treatment for retinal disease. She then went on to specialize in retinal disease, pediatrics, and binocular vision at the Conroe/Woodlands Eye Clinic.
She previously served as an Adjunct Clinical Preceptor for optometry students from the University of Houston – College of Optometry and participated in several missions that provided free examinations for school-aged children in the Houston area.
Dr. De La Garza enjoys seeing children of all ages and has a background in developmental vision and vision therapy.
When not seeing patients, she enjoys exploring new recipes, gardening, and spending time with her husband and three children.
